Coaching for Healing, Justice & Liberation’s (CHJL) inaugural |RE|UNION 2023 was an unforgettable event that brought together 70+ past program participants, mentors, staff, and community members in Los Angeles, CA for a weekend of depth, expansion, cultivation of liberatory coaching, and network weaving. |RE|UNION 2023 was a defining experience for everyone involved. It was a celebration of life, an expression of gratitude and a reflection on the impact of CHJL’s programs, people, and purpose.

Over 3 nights and 4 days, |RE|UNION participants had the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and colleagues while forming new bonds with recent graduates and coach partners in the CHJL community. They shared their experiences, stories, and the positive transformations they have witnessed in their lives and communities since their involvement with their 9-month cohorts.

The reunion also served as a platform for Self exploration with intentional program scheduling while also prioritizing opportunities for alumni to reconnect with their cohorts to fortify bonds that had been established virtually.

The intentionality that was put into the entire experience left me feeling held and cared for (and that is not the usual experience I have). The variety, choices, and agency that I had during the |Re|Union was liberating and left the spaciousness for me to tend to my individual needs and my collective contributions to it.

the reunion was magical. the WHOLE thing. from the design to the implementation and the way everyone showed up was amazing. the panels/interviews/dance performance/workshops, etc. the space. omg the space. one could sense, see, feel, taste, smell, hear, ALL of the love and intention that went into every aspect of it. it was really beautiful and powerful.
